Kadeck 5.3 - OpenID authentication and simplified group mapping

We're excited to introduce Kadeck 5.3.0, a release focused on enhancing user authentication and managing groups.

OAuth/OpenID Authentication

In response to user feedback, we have integrated OAuth and OpenID authentication options. This integration provides a secure and user-friendly login experience. Please read our support article to learn more.

External Group Mapping for LDAP and OpenID

Our support for LDAP and OpenID now includes external group mapping. Instead of matching Kadeck group names with those in your directory service, you can now specify which external group name to map each Kadeck group to. This optional feature supports both LDAP and OpenID. By default, group mapping will still rely on name matching.

Security Hotfix

Security is our top priority. In this release, we have addressed the CVE-2023-34054 vulnerability to enhance the security of your Kadeck environment against potential threats.
